.Nursery Unveil.

As promised, here's a little tour of baby's room- mostly complete but still a work in progress.  My decorating direction was "garden shabby chic", but I generally just went with what I liked as I found it.  The walls were already painted in the seafoam and mint green stripes when this used to be my study room.  Originally I was going for a trendy, relaxing space, but G always said it reminded him of a "baby circus" so we embraced it when we transitioned the room.  We collected everything little by little as we discovered them from various places and people, starting first with her trunks and ending with her bedding.

Overall I wanted a soft nursery with a little character that wasn't too matchy-matchy and didn't just scream "BABY GIRL: PRINCESS AND RAINBOWS." It's quickly become my favorite room in the house.  Small details throughout bring out the story that's led us here, like the bouquet of surviving roses spanning events within our seven year relationship, momentos from our baby showers and trips taken, keepsakes from when I was little, blocks used in our maternity shoot, and our artwork we painted for baby on our Valentine's date.  Now all we need is our lovely little to fill it.

* I do know for safety reasons that her crib should not have all the blankets and such inside- rest assured it was just for pictures!
