.Snow days.

Thanks to winter storm Leon, we got a few unexpected days at home.  This area is just not prepared for cold and wet weather, and neither were the babies.  Dylan and G were fans of playing outside for about 15 minutes tops.  So these days were full of too much food, lots of playing, books, and movies, catching up on work, starting new novels, and awesome dance parties to get out some cooped-up energy.

My whole schedule is thrown off now to go back to work for one day and then have the weekend, but   what a treat these few days have been.  Glad we got a few pictures before I broke our camera lens :(  Now I understand why G says I can't have nice things.

P.S. Our last winter storm.

.Winter play.

Even though the temperature has finally dropped, we still try to get this family some fresh air.  I cherish the few hours taken out of our busy schedules to have a simple picnic in the park or just play outside, because we know all too well how fast it always seems to fly by.

.The last, sweet days of summer.

I really can't believe that the Fall is upon us.  Here are a few pictures from the last bit of the sticky summer that we got to enjoy.  Luckily we're off to Savannah for a bit, and that doesn't seem like such a bad way to bring in my favorite season.

.Let it rain.

.The Best Days.

Today was not a good day.
I had a client relapse after years of stability,
and it was not pretty.
Although it was not my fault,
I can't help but feel some responsibility.
I should have seen warning signs.
Luckily, we were able to get her the help she needed.
That unfortunately is not always possible.
Today it was, so it was not an awful day.
Tragic nonetheless,
sad and discouraging.
Days like today make me long for days like these.
The best days.

Let's try for it again tomorrow, shall we?

.Stay Awhile.

Warm, breezy weather please stay awhile.
You make everything else much more tolerable.
Except hours of school work.
Spring fever has struck, hard.
Being stuck inside with assignments is just salt in the wound.
There's no fixing that except summer break.
3 more weeks.

.Rain.

Taking a quick break from life's responsibilities to check in.  Alas, I'll have zero time the next few days to reflect on the gratifying weekend I had without facing some negative consequences.  Mix that with the miserable weather we've been having and I'm currently a grumpy soul.  Luckily I have a little reminder who gives me hourly kicks as if to yell, "Stay calm and relaxed... it's going to be just fine."  This little girl might just teach me to cope with my catastrophizing ways.

Until my pace slows down, here's what I wish I could be doing in this weather.  Which is saying alot because people who know me know that I tend to melt in the rain.  However, Haleigh of Making Magique just makes it look so pleasant and necessary.  Having a glamorous afternoon on a dreary day just may need to be added to my list.

.Ice & Luck.

Only in the south does the whole town close down because of a little ice and snow.  An unexpected snow day, while relaxing, would have been much more useful during the semester rather than the first day of classes but I'll take it.  Movies, puppy nap time, and crossing off much on my to-do list while trapped at home wasn't so bad, except poor G still had to go work.  Once he came home though, we were able to curl up under the covers and watch the nerve-racking BCS National Championship.  No big deal, we're only National Champions!!!

Tomorrow was supposed to be my first day back of classes, but it's already been canceled due to weather.  Guess I'll just have to emotionally prepare for my first day on Wednesday consisting of work and six hours of class... at least I have my new {cool} briefcase to help me cope with the increased stress with resuming my workload.  It's the little things that can keep you positive.
